Outlot Rosé 2018
VINIFICATION
Following a long growing season characterized by moderate temperatures throughout the spring and summer, Sonoma County’s 2018 harvest played out like a dream. The harvest began about two weeks later than in previous years but was more in line with normal timing in the years before the drought. The vintage shows exceptional quality, thanks to consistent growing conditions and cooler temperatures which allowed the grapes to mature slowly. The Alexander Valley stretches for miles in northern Sonoma County and the Russian River flows almost directly through the middle of the valley. Over centuries the river has left behind a mixture of sand, silt, and stones that created exceptional soil in which to grow grapes. Close to the historic Nervo Station lies a prized terroir where both red and white grapes thrive. It is here that we source the Zinfandel for this beautiful Rosé.
TASTING NOTES
Pale fresh salmon with very light magenta hues, the Outlot Rosé has delicate aromas of watermelon, strawberry, floral rose petals, and a subtle spiciness. Fresh, crisp, and bright flavors of refreshing strawberry and melon notes with a round texture. Pairs well with fresh-cut fruit, seared salmon, Asian fare, and warm summer days.
