Arianna Wines Torrontes White Wine 2019
Torrontes, or more specifically, Torrontes Riojano- with origins in the Mission and Muscat grape family, is a traditional white wine from Argentina. With vibrant fruit notes, this wine was made in the traditional style, foot stomped for aromatic extraction, and aged in both stainless steel and neutral wine barrels. Fruity and incredibly aromatic on the nose, the palate is dry and flavorful. The wine has a rich and bright nose of honeysuckle, chamomile, white flowers, orange blossoms, and summer fruits. The flavor and palate are fruity and full-bodied, with flavors of white peach, apricot, nectarine and honey with a long-lasting lemon finish. Enjoy slightly chilled, but appreciate the flavors as they develop and evolve in the glass. A very easy drinking wine, it can stand alone on a warm sunny day or be enjoyed with food.
Wine Story:
This vintage was harvested on September 10, 2019 from Silvaspoons Vineyard near Lodi, California. Handpicked in the early hours of the morning, the grapes made the journey to Paso Robles, where they were foot-stomped and crushed. After fermentation, the wine was transferred into stainless steel barrels and neutral white barrels. The stainless steel helped to capture the varietally specific flavors, while the oak added to the mouthfeel and texture of the wine. Bottled in January of 2020, the wine made its debut into the marketplace in March of 2020.
