Ashton Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013
The 2013 growing season was once again virtually perfect for us. This dry-farmed old vine Pinot Noir holds its delicacy while showing its complexity. The nose is earthy like dried flowers, strawberry tones. The palate has notes of plum, pomegranate and tart cherry. Followed by a mouthwatering finish, balanced tannins, giving it an elegant texture. The finish has notes of vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom, and peppercorns. This Pinot has a lot of structure and changes as it washes over the palate. Oak forward but also well balanced with fruit and tart acidity. Barrel-aged for 31 months in artisanal-coopered oak barrels. We produced 136 cases.
