Wine Story

Donald Rathburn - Winemaker

Donald Rathburn was the winemaker of these Chardonnays.  As a young man he fell in love with Alexander Valley Wines.  He and his wife lived in Michigan but after a visit to Northern California he began to dream of making his own wines.  He spent many an evening torturing friends with conversations about making wine.  He and friends looked at buying a vineyard and then he had the great fortune to meet the owners of a custom crush facility and apprenticed at their winery.
