Juicy Rebound Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2017
Roads that weave and sway like the ocean they run beside, cool-climate viticulture, slowly ripening grapes in soils that have been re-arranged by the San Andreas Fault, this is the nature of the Sonoma Coast viticultural region.
The 2017 Juicy Rebound Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a blend of three vineyards from the northwestern reaches of the appellation and it captures the wild and foggy character of the terroir perfectly. The strong marine influence produces wine of bright precision, intricate structure, and lively, juicy freshness.
The 2017 Sonoma Coast Pinot is a strong successor to the 2016 vintage. More structured, it is also a wine with appetizing raspberry fruit and silky finesse. Accented with spice, orange peel, and lifted with aromas of forest floor “sous Bois” and “sève”, it shows a refreshing sappiness. These aromas of nature found in the glass echo the fragrances in the air when walking the vineyards on the Sonoma Coast.
The wine was raised in the tradition of Burgundy, aged in French oak barrels, and bottled 14 months after the harvest. 200 cases produced.
