The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits raspberry preserve and hints of anise on the aromatics. Your mouth is filled with dark cherry, dried blueberry, and crème Brulee underlining the fine tannin profile. The ‘typical’ Dos Lagos excellent finish integrates the fruit, wood, and structure.
The near-perfect 2016 growing season started early, saw ideal weather conditions throughout, and wrapped up as the valley's first significant fall rainstorm arrived on October 14. Thanks to a relatively steady and mild July and August, and then a series of warm days at the end of the growing season-our vineyards were able to progress to perfect ripeness. We picked on Oct. 6 and had an average Brix of 28.8%

Dos Lagos Vineyards
Sitting near the top of Atlas Peak with soils of white volcanic ash, Dos Lagos Vineyards receives an unusual difference in weather compared to others in Napa Valley. The fog cools the grapes in the morning and evening, while the sun warms and ripens them throughout the day allowing for perfect growing conditions.
